Course Description
Our fire warden course is designed for employees who have been appointed as Fire Wardens, Chief Fire Wardens or members of an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO).
Training covers the steps involved in preparing for and responding to a workplace emergency. This includes evacuation procedures, communication, the responsibilities of wardens and how the ECO operates during an emergency.
The onsite session also includes practical fire extinguisher training, so participants can become familiar with the equipment and its use during a simulated fire situation.

The practical component allows you to work through emergency situations and demonstrate the required skills.

The assessment includes written questions, practical tasks and relevant documentation.
During the practical assessment, you may need to demonstrate how you would prepare for an emergency and operate as part of an Emergency Control Organisation during a fire emergency.
You may also be required to complete documents such as an emergency equipment fault log, evacuation incident and debrief form, facility emergency plan extract or incident report.
The theory component includes multiple-choice questions.
All required assessment activities need to be completed successfully before the Statement of Attainment can be issued.
